The Darkest Hour : A Reflection

               Bible has been one of the most sacred things on Earth. It is said to be an instrument to the majority of christian people in terms of God's connection. Much of the controversy that I have heard about the discrepancy of what is written on the bible. There are several questions that lingered in my mind "the missing link". What is written in this book is very vague to me. According to an old man whom I was able to talk, the word of God is too many that a bible is not enough to spread what really happened during his time. There are phenomenon on Earth which was not included in the book. Therefore, God's word has not been totally revealed for some questionable reasons.

                 I wondered, who made the "BIBLE"?. On my very own notion, this book should not be the bases of ones salvation. The story was full of thrills and climax, but it was too centralized in the sense that it made the bible as the center of the scene. I believed that if situations seem to be clever, it's not the bible that will save us, as what the story was trying to portray but the strong and sincere connection to ones savior  regardless if one is an avid reader or not of the said sacred book.            

Personality

              

                In my very own notion, Richard Cory must not isolate himself from the people in his town. He must learn to engage social activities so that he will be able to meet new friend whom he can share his problems. The isolation that he made to himself is the reason that leads to his early death. If I am in the shoe of Richard Cory I will humbly show to the world that I’m not perfect. I will look for somebody who can understand and sympathize my situation. Someone who’s ready to help me not because of what I can give in return, but because he thinks that somebody badly needs his time. Life is how we make it. We should remember the saying “No man is an island” this very popular proverb implies that, for us to survive in life we should learn to be humble and live in this world harmoniously with others.

Compare and Contrast

Richard Cory is an image of perfect creation for the people who believes that he is a man who got it all. His poise, elegance and well-mannered attitude attracts everyone to the extent that they wish to be the exact creation as what this man portrays. Richard possesses the ideal qualities but he isolates himself from the people surrounding him. He doesn’t have any friend. Alone, he lives in loneliness and confusion. People were wrong to believe that he is the best man in town.

Miniver Cheevy on the other hand is a poor man. He has a fantasy in his life. He always dreams to become an icon to everyone. An image that all will look upon. He has the delusion of becoming somebody else, but his personality in upbringing is too immense to acquire. As a man who lacks opportunity and essence to get what it takes to ride the challenges in life, he did nothing but illusion and day dreaming. Instead of doing something to elevate his situation he isolated himself from drinking alcohol.

Both of this man portrayed personalities which is hard to understand. Cory portrays perfect image but deep inside suffers pain and loneliness. While Cheevy dream and aim high, ever wish to be a personality in the eyes of everyone, but did nothing to make his dream realize.

In life, there are several things that one can’t explain. Whatever misfortune other people did, it is very important not to judge them because in every side of the coin there is always a story. We are not there to witness therefore; we are not in the position to judge their lives.

Whatever plans, a teacher should always consider the limitation of the learner's ability. A facilitator must be cognizant enough whether his learner is still in the the level of actual or proximal. The ability of the student should be the bases of  what particular lessons must be prepared and even what kind of curricular activities to be added in the school. In the zone of proximal development, we learned that a learner will reach his maximum  potential when he is properly guided. Therefore, the way on how they are taught is the outcome of their performance. 

Learning and Development is a Societal and Collaborative Activity

"No man is an island".This famous proverb can be associated with the context of learning. In the learning process, undeniably society is an integral part of the educational system.It can't be taken away as far as learning is concern. Yes we all know that individuals have their own cognitive abilities. This ability is only a part of the whole. Cognition alone is not enough. As what the saying implies, "two heads are better than one". Therefore there should be a collaboration of cognitive and society. Learning is more meaningful when it is collaborative because one is going to learn from the other and vice versa.
